I was wondering what I should cook for this weeks PPN event when I saw my lovely claypot sitting on the kitchen bench. Yeah, I decided to go Asian this week!!
I adore radish, a lovely veggies that can absorb flavour beautifully. Yee Min on the other hand has a great texture and works especially well with rich gravy. I combined these two great ingredients and they pair beautifully!! Steve was totally blown away!! I loved the radish, it absorbs all the rich flavors of the sauces.

I need to confess!! I swear, I noted down all the ingredients INITALLY.. then somehow I lost my attention and I added a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and so I Totally lost track of what I had put in with the noodles. Forgive me my fellow readers, I tried my best but .. Yeah, I got distracted. The recipe below is based on what I remember, if you do try this recipe, please adjust it accordingly.
Ingredients:
1 onion
1 radish
1 carrot
5 slices of ginger
250g pork diced
1 tbsp of Taucheo
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
3 tbsp of tomato ketchup
3 tbsp of soya sauce
2tbsp of sugar
Water
Yee Min
Method :
Heat the oil in a claypot, then add in onion and ginger. Stir fry until fragrant, then add in pork. Fry until the pork changes colour, then add in all the ingredients except the yee min. Simmer for an hour or until the radish turns soft.
Add in the Yee Min, cook to your preferred texture. The longer you cook, the softer the texture will be. If you prefer the texture to be slightly crispy, then you might just need to cook the noodles for a few minutes. Sprinkle some spring onions on top. Serve hot.

Looks very flavourful. I rarely eat radishes, but should give them another try. Thank you for your submission to PPN!

Hi Jin Hooi,
Your yee min looks mouth-watering !!
Will get K.at to try this out.
Just to say I remember all the fun times during my class in university and you are among the better students.
Strange isn't it that the cyberworld is so small.... that K.at somehow gets connected to you..
Do you keep in touch with the rest ? Would be interesting to know what they do nowadays..
