Ginger Eggs Soup

My poor old baby has been sick lately, the cold crappy weather doesn't help at all!! This explained why I haven’t been trying new recipes these two days.

In order to make him feel a little bit better and warmer, I decided to make him a bowl of ginger eggs soup. This is the soup that my mum will make for us on a rainy day back in Malaysia. We normally feel a bit too "cold" on rainy days (I said "cold", it's probably about 27-28c ;-p).

I adore this soup, love the fragrance of the ginger and the eggs. I make this soup based on my mums "recipe". My mum no doubt is a good cook, but but but.. She is a "free style" cook - which means she will never measure the ingredients. Whenever I ask her for a recipe, she will just tell me to "agak agak" - meaning to measure it based on your feeling. Yeah, I heard you, feeling is the most dangerous thing in the world. Hahaha !! But being a good daughter, I followed her recipe "strictly" tonight. Being my smart blog readers, I am pretty confident you will be able to work it out ;-P forget about the measuring spoons, let’s join me for “free style” cooking !!

Heat up “some” oil in the wok, add “some” ginger and stir fry until fragrant. Add in “some” eggs and fry until golden brown. Add in “some” water and some meat if you like. Add seasoning to taste (some pepper, salt and also a few drops of sesame oil). Serve hot.
