The weather has been really crappy lately, freezing cold and raining everyday. Tonight I am in the mood for “free style” cooking. Haha.. Must get my self into Olympics mood, tonight is free style, tomorrow will be ..hmmm.. Butterfly style, may be ..LOL
I bought a little tub of Dukkah spice months ago and I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Well, I must confront myself, I bought this spice purely out of curiosity, as soon as I tasted it I regretted it. It wasn’t horrible but it was too strong to my liking. Tonight, I decided to be a little more adventurous, I marinated the chicken with some salt and pepper, then sprinkle some Dukkah spice on the chicken and grilled it for 10 minutes. It turned out ok, still too strong to my liking though.

Er....where does dukkah originate from? Never heard of this spice before :D
Hi Pablopable, hmmm.. based on the label on the bottle "inspired by the street vendors and vibrant marketplaces of Egypt, this traditional recipe blends the nutty flavour of roasted chickpeas with aromatic spices".. so apparently it is from Egypt! ;-)
