Lemon Madeleines


I don't normally fancy mid-week baking, although I don't need to do the cleaning (that's Steve's job) but the thoughts of baking never comes across my mind during the week. I think because I know clearly that I am not a good baker, I just can't cope with any failure of baking after spending a day in a stressful work environment (although it might work well with kneading dough, haha.. I can punch as hard as I want imaging I am slapping those bloody client's faces).

Anyway, I had to do some baking tonight, not because I really needed to vent my frustration via the poor dough, but because of the French morning tea that will be held in my office on this coming Friday morning. Every one of us has to bring in something “French” on Friday morning and I am decided to bring in Lemon Madeleines. So I walked down to Myers on Monday night and bought myself 2 beautiful Madeleine moulds. Well, there weren't cheap, I tell ya.

I was so excited and nervous to bake these lemon Madeleines. I was excited because I had never heard nor eaten Madeleines before and I was really curious about their taste. The reason of me being nervous is because I have to bring these lemon Madeleines to my office and share them with my fellow colleagues!! I found myself staring at those batters while they were baking in the oven, haha.. Luckily there turned out beautifully. Thanks to food blogger (Cook Almost Everthing At least once) for sharing this recipe.

I'm glad you enjoyed these but I'm very disappointed that you have chosen to cut and paste the recipe and the method from my site without bothering to correctly link back to the source. It is very bad blogging etiquette not to link back to the originating recipe. I hope this was just an oversight on your part.

Sorry for that, i did mentioned in the blog that the recipe was from you and i thought it is easier to read if i just paste the recipe. Sorry for the oversight, i thought i did leave u a comment at ur site. Anyway, if that's really bothered u, i will delete that from the blog.
