Camy Shanghai Dumpling and Noodle

Work has been pretty busy lately; we were so stressed out with the crazy work load. After a week of hard work, we decided to reward ourselves with a good hearty meal ;-)) an excuse for us to enjoy good food without feeling too guilty. Haha..

After work, we just walked down to the city, headed to Ccamy Shangahi Dumpling and Noodles in china town, strongly recommended by Yolanda. The restaurant is located at a really hidden place, kinda in a back street of china town. Anyway, the restaurant was so crowded when we first arrived. It is a very simple and humble place. I believe this is one of those places that serve simple, really tasty and mouth watering food, nothing too flashy or classy. And guess what, I was right!!! Thanks to Yolanda for the guide to the good food again!!

We ordered deep fried dumpling, spicy dan dan noodles, spring onions pan cake and spicy chicken cube noodles. There were great!! The dumplings were really made crispy in texture. I especially loved the dan dan noodles- great flavour!! The bill came to a total of $21!! Cheap!!

After the good food, we head down to Nelayang for dessert (hehe… told you, we are crazy about good food). We ordered the mixed ais (ais campur) as well as the fried banana with cheese. Both were good, not as good as what I expected though. And lastly (finally!! I heard you said..;-)))), we ordered three little otak otak to finish off the great nigh out. I didn't know indonesian otak otak is white in colour, it taste like the fish cakes in Malaysia. Anyway, I like it!! But I would have preferred the texture and the taste of Malaysian otak otak though ;-))

Ok.. Here comes the end of the good food hunting!! We finally stopped eating and headed to MNG for shopping ;-)) Great night out.
